September 23, 2004 Meeting Minutes Attendees Pastor Tim, Dan Skibba, Amy, Hansen, Steve Hansen, Betty Mulrey. Contemporary Worship We want to proceed with CtK Sunday (November 21). This will be primarily driven from Worship and Music. Dan will follow up with Jeff to see what we can do to help make it happen. Hammonasset Everyone at the meeting attended the event. We all agreed that it was a success. The youth had a great time. We want to report about the event to the congregation. It was suggested that someone gather comments from the youth who attended and pull together a short article containing the individual reactions to the event. Amy will contact Corrine about pulling together the article. Youth Survey We decided that unless there is an adult to drive this process, we would table the survey for the foreseeable future. It was felt that there are significant gaps in our ministry the do not have the adult resources to handle them. The survey would only divert scarce resources with the likelihood of only identifying more gaps. Hampshire Hills Lock In The first meeting will be on Thursday, September 30. Dan will handle overall registration. Betty Mulrey will handle CtK registration. Amy will handle programming. Halloween Party Amy Hansen is pulling this event together. She is producing a flyer and will invite youth groups from Triumphant Cross, Messiah and Gethsemane. College Info Pastor Tim will put a notice in the bulletin to gather this information and submit it to Dan. 2005 Offsite Service Project There were only a few options available through the ELCA. We need to set up a sub-group that consists of Christian Ed and Youth ministry people to come up with some alternatives. Youth Rosters We looked at a list of youth group aged youth and eliminated a few that we knew were no longer members. Dan will go over the list again with Pastor. Action Items Dan: Follow up with Jeff Hammond regarding contemporary worship. Send generic permission slip to Amy so she can modify it for the Halloween party. Follow up with Pastor Tim regarding youth roster. Amy: Follow up with Corrine about a Hammonasset article. Pastor Tim: Place a request for college address info in the bulletin and make an announcement for parents to provide this info. Next Meeting October 21, 2004 at 7 PM. |
