SUNDAY MORNING CHECKLIST AT CHRIST THE KING


MAKING THE BUILDING A WELCOME PLACE

ü Unlock breezeway, front entryway, and Christian Ed breezeway doors
ü In summer, turn on ceiling fans and exhaust fans (bottom two circuit breakers on wall around the Welcome Desk)
ü Prop door open in breezeway, if necessary. Open skylight windows, if adventurous.
ü In the winter, turn on the heat if necessary.
ü Turn on lights in breezeway.
ü Turn on lights in sanctuary: three switches for narthex and altar on the side wall; all but switches second from the right on long switch unit on side wall; light over the bulletin board; lights for baptismal font and altar spot on back narthex wall.
ü Turn on microphone switch and do a sound check.
ü Make sure lectionary book is properly marked.
ü Open office doors, including Pastor's office

BEFORE WORSHIP
ü Make sure those serving in the liturgy are present. Make last minute recruitments if necessary.
ü Help acolytes light candles, and remind them to have a bulletin in their seat. Make sure they know who is carrying the lectionary book, handing out offering, and assisting with communion.
ü Right before worship, turn off exhaust fans, and in winter turn of the heat.

AFTER WORSHIP
ü Clean up bulletins from pews and worship leaders' chairs.
ü Make sure all lights are out, including in the sanctuary and balcony, breezeway, hallway, and bathrooms. Make sure microphone switch is off.
ü Make sure all doors are locked, including the front door entryway, breezeway, Christian Ed breezeway, and playground entrance (door does not close without pulling it shut).
ü Make sure coffee pots are turned off, and trash is put in receptacles.
ü Last one to leave do a walk-through.
