Greetings from Seattle!

Yesterday we made the eleven-mile bus trip down from Holden Village to Lucerne, then boarded the Lady of the Lake II for her twenty-plus mile voyage on Lake Chelan to Field’s Point in Chelan.

We were greeted at the dock with a surprise visit from Kari’s Aunt Elly and Uncle Wally, who made the four hour trip from their home in Kelowna BC to see us! We had a nice dinner together, and then the four Keyls slept at Holden’s Bed and Breakfast near Field’s Point.

Today we made the half hour cab ride to the Wenatchee Airport, took the 40 minute flight to Seattle, and then found a cab to downtown Seattle where we are staying the night. We had a great meal near the waterfront smashing shellfish at The Crab Pot.

Tomorrow we board the Victoria Clipper for our excursion to Victoria and Vancouver, ending the week reuniting with yet another Henkelmann uncle, Gary.

Our three weeks at Holden brought us refreshment and much time to pray, read, hike, make friends, learn some, and bask in the remote village that makes for a remarkable community.

I’ll post some photos as soon as I get a block of time to work with them, at the latest soon after we return on September 4th.

Thank you for your continued prayers.

Pastor Tim
